Teem™ Defense has the whole biotic: an organic prebiotic blend + a synchronized team of probiotic strains + postbiotic antioxidants from bio-fermented, organic elderberry, blueberry, and pomegranate. Together, they’re clinically-studied ingredients* that help balance your gut and immune health* and support gut-immune communication, response, and recovery.*
Teem™ Probiotic Blend
Teem™ products are Products That Love You Back™--thanks to a power team of tiny, invisible helpers who work tirelessly on your behalf, 24/7/365. Yep, they’re literally teeming with positive life.
Most other probiotic supplements on the market are capsules, pills, or gummies. Which means most of the probiotics in them have been freeze-dried. It’s also typical for companies to grow each probiotic strain separately, then combine them during bottling. They’re also packed in in high numbers because so many of them die on the way to your gut.
We’ve got an issue with that: that’s just not how these microorganisms grow in nature. The research is clear: microbes (of all kinds) grow together and live together in microbiome communities. The science also shows that when it comes to your gut, they work together in teams.
When we bio-ferment our live probiotics together, they grow together to form a resilient and synchronized team—designed to survive to actually reach your gut and work together once they get there.
Prebiotics are the foods that support probiotic community growth. Our Teem™ of probiotics are fermented together with a blend of organicagave and honey.
These prebiotics keep our probiotics alive and happy in their bottles before they meet your gut, but because they’re fermenting these foods, there’s zero sugar left—you can think of it like a zero sugar kombucha, made with clinically studied ingredients. Both agave and honey have small amounts of phytonutrients as well, that may have an antioxidant effect.*
They’re also key to our live probiotics surviving the journey through your stomach acid and bile to make it to your gut where they can get to work.
The Teem™ team of probiotics has been scientifically tested and shown to survive both stomach acid and bile at high rates. Our patented method of bio-fermentation creates a synchronized team of probiotics that is strong and resilient to survive that journey.
Plus the prebiotics add to our fermentation help keep them alive—and producing postbiotic substances that not only help benefit your health*, but they also add to a self-sustaining ecosystem for our bottled probiotics that helps them make the trip to your gut.
Organic Postbiotic Antioxidant Blend
When we’re fermenting Teem™ Defense, we also add organic elderberry juice concentrate, organic blueberry juice concentrate, and organic pomegranate juice concentrate into the fermentation mix. As our probiotics ferment with these, they unlock and unleash nutrients, including antioxidants in simple forms your body can easily absorb.*
Because they’re made as part of the probiotics’ eating process, they’re called postbiotics—aka, what’s created after probiotics eat. Like probiotic poop, only beneficial. Isn’t nature magic?
Organic Elderberry, Blueberry, and Pomegranate Juice Concentrates
We selected a blend of organic elderberry, blueberry, and pomegranate juice concentrates because both together and on their own, these berries are rich in vitamins, flavanols, and other phytonutrients that are high in antioxidant activity—including Vitamins A and C.
Black elderberry especially gets its deep indigo color from high amounts of anthocyanins, which are part of the flavonoid family. Flavonoids, like other antioxidants, help support the body and its immune system when it’s stressed so it can deliver a balanced response and recovery.*
